EA plants are suitable for most waste water and economical to install and operate. Advantages and Key Features- Simple & Low cost design.- Flexible process that treat a wide range of waste water.- Good response to variable flow and speed.- Able to handle high SS load.- Ease of installation, operation and maintenance.In aeration tank (Extended Aeration) suspended microbial growth is maintained for the biological oxidation of organics. Diffused aeration is provided to meet the oxygen requirement of microorganisms and to keep the liquor in a completely mixed regime. The process units in an extended variation plant include:- Collection & Transfer of the raw wastewater viz. effluent into Aeration Tank (after Equalization).- Aerobic Treatment of mixed liquor in Aeration Tank.- Clarification of aerated mixed liquor in Secondary Clarifier.- Chlorination for disinfection in CCT. A wastewater treatment plant cleans sewage and water so that they can be returned to the environment. The Activated Sludge Process (ASP) is a sewage treatment process in which air or oxygen is blown into raw, unsettled sewage to smash the solids and develop a biological 'soup' which digests the organic content and pollutants in the sewage. These plants do not have a primary settlement chamber which is the chamber that needs emptying by tanker on a regular basis with most three stage sewage treatment plants.

Effluent treatment plant, also known as ETP is a waste water treatment process (WWTP) that is used to treat wastewater. It's mostly used in industries like pharmaceuticals, textiles, and chemicals where extreme water contamination is a possibility. The Effluent Treatment Plant plays a significant role in the treatment of industrial waste water as well as domestic sewage. Organic matter, inorganic matter, heavy metals, oil & grease, suspended particles, and other contaminants are treated in the wastewater treatment process of an ETP plant. Chemical treatment, biological treatment, a combination of chemical and biological treatment, and thermal treatment are the several types of wastewater treatment plants.
